Karimabad is the historic and cultural center of Hunza District, offering a perfect blend of history, breathtaking mountain scenery, and warm local hospitality. Surrounded by some of the Karakoram's most iconic peaks—including Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, and Ladyfinger Peak—the town has long been a key stop along the ancient Silk Road.
Visitors can explore the centuries-old Baltit Fort and Altit Fort, stroll through the charming streets of Altit Village, and shop for handmade crafts, gemstones, traditional caps, shawls, and organic Hunza products in the bustling Karimabad Bazaar.
